HIPAA Compliance

HIPAA stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Many regulations have been published under that law. HIPAA compliance is the single term used to refer to the compliance of all relevant regulations in that basket. HIPAA compliance is a great step to ensure that the healthcare industry is regulated.

We are taking steps to ensure that we adhere to the highest standards of data security and integrity while data is stored in our servers and while it is being transmitted. By following the rules in HIPAA, we are following suit in maintaining the secrecy of patient health information.

All data is to be encrypted with 128 bit while being transmitted. The backups of databases have to be encrypted to prevent their mishandling and ensuring data secrecy.

Physical and virtual access to our servers is restricted and made available only to authorized personnel.

All employees have to sign a legally binding confidentiality agreement which prohibits them from sharing or publishing any confidential information that they come in contact with during their service with Ark health solutions.

Data Protection and Data Confidentiality

We understand that patient health information is sacrosanct and treat it accordingly. We are ensuring that both our servers and the transmission process are encrypted. All physical access to data in the form of pen-drives, optical discs, and other means of storage is restricted. Only the authorized personnel will have access to data. By filtering the web content that can be accessed by the employees, we ensure that only those sites that are necessary for conducting our business are allowed inside our establishment.

Login credentials are provided only to trusted personnel and multiple layers of security are designed. Further, our employees, customers, and vendors with whom we conduct business have to sign a legally binding (NDA) Non Disclosure Agreement to ensure that our information is used only to the extent needed and not in any other manner.

Security

With round the clock monitoring and restricted entry to physical premises, our facilities are securely taken care of. Further, our employees are screened at multiple levels before accessing our facilities. Even our employees can enter our premises only upon producing their valid photo ID and access card. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras are also used to monitor movement of personnel. We are also in the process of securing our work areas with biometric access.

Technology

Be it the latest CISCO routers and Sonic firewalls, or robust servers needed to maintain a smooth network, we are doing whatever it takes to ensure that we have the necessary architecture to provide seamless service to our clients.

Connectivity

Two is always better than one. So it is with Internet Service Providers. To ensure that we have a fallback mechanism for our Internet, we have not one but two ISPs as a backup during a disaster
